Dr. Butch Ferguson

Dr. Ferguson has a Diplomate Status with the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. He served 24 years in the U.S. Army Dental Corps having varied assignments in the continental United States and Southeast Asia. Dr. Solon Kao

Dr. Solon Kao currently serves as an assistant professor in the department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. He completed his Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery training at the Medical College of Georgia, Augusta, Georgia and The Louisiana State University, Shreveport, LA. He received his Dental degree with honors from the University of Tennessee, Memphis, and completed his undergraduate degree in Biomedical Engineering from Vanderbilt University. He practices full scope OMS with emphasis on office based anesthesia, dentoalveolar surgery, wisdom teeth extractions, esthetic dental implant placements, implant related hard and soft tissue reconstruction with focus on various bone grafting techniques to most optimally restore the jaw bones contours in preparation to receive implants. Dr. Tom Osborn

Dr. Thomas P. Osborn joined The Medical College of Georgia faculty in 2004, after a 30 year private practice career in Michigan. His private practice career encompassed a full-scope of Oral & Maxillofacial surgical procedures. Dr. Mark Stevens

Dr. Stevens received his D.M.D. from the University of the Pacific School of Dentistry in San Francisco, California in 1976. He finished his Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery training in 1983, in the United States Air Force at Wilford Hall Medical Center in San Antonio, Texas. He is presently Chairman and Professor of the Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Department. He was previously the Director of the Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Residency Program with the University of Miami, School of Medicine. He has written on a wide variety of topics in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and is nationally and internationally known in the management of craniofacial trauma. Dr. Lee Getter

Dr. Getter is a Diplomate of the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and has served 21 years in the U.S. Army Dental Corps. He was Chief of Maxillofacial Surgery at the US Army Institute of Dental Research at the Walter Reed Army Medical Center. Dr. Getter was the Chief dental Consultant to the Surgeon General of the Army and to the Asst. Surgeon General for Dental Services. Dr. Getter has a special interest in Patient management techniques including, general anesthesia, deep sedation and conscious Sedation.
